Summary:
As the Director of Business Development, reporting directly to the Senior VP of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and strategic direction of our company's commercial operations. Your focus will be on expanding our reach into both Business to Business and Business to Consumer sectors, as well as nurturing relationships with wholesalers.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the charge in expanding our Commercial Contract Logistics and Labor Solutions sales across the Americas and Canada.
Actively seek out and capitalize on valuable business opportunities, from lead qualification to negotiation and pricing.
Set long-term goals for new business development, organic account growth, and diversification of product offerings.
Serve as a commercial business development expert, guiding our company towards sustainable growth and profitability.
Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to post-sale customer service, ensuring a seamless experience for our clients.
Drive expansion into new industry verticals, increasing revenues and enhancing profitability.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop strategic business plans, budget forecasts, and pricing proposals.
Utilize your executive-level presentation skills to engage with clients and stakeholders effectively.
Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, account management, or solutions management within the logistics or supply chain industry.
Proven track record of closing and managing large accounts, as well as driving organic growth.
Strong business planning and budgeting skills, with the ability to analyze revenue targets and margin integrity.
Proficiency in computer applications such as Office Suite, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed.
Excellent customer service orientation and proactive approach to problem-solving.
