Summary
ValidaTek is seeking a Director of Business Development who is a high-energy entrepreneur with extensive knowledge of the Federal Civilian markets. You will work closely with the Chief Growth Officer to develop an overall campaign strategy and plan to focus on positioning and capturing new business contracts, marketing the ValidaTek brand, and engaging in strategic client relationships. We are seeking an energetic person who can become the face of ValidaTek to some of our most valued customers.
Responsibilities
- Create, manage, and implement go-to-market strategies and plans (to articulate and generate consensus for strategic vision, action plan, competitive intelligence, investments, business case, etc.).
- Provide business development lifecycle support - from opportunity identification, qualification, win strategy development, and proposal development.
- Develop and support a robust pipeline of opportunities that align with ValidaTek’s strategic vision for growth within the Federal Enterprise IT Services marketspace.
- Inspire, motivate, and lead teams - without direct line authority - to achieve distinctive results.
- Engage customers in identifying and shaping opportunities. This includes active communication of filtered actionable intelligence.
- Actively market the ValidaTek Brand, establish customer expectations, and shape opportunities by supporting the creation of white papers, sponsoring in-house demonstrations, and responding to RFIs and similar activities. You will conceptualize the need, organize the correct company participants, and lead the collaboration to completion.
- Support Captures and Proposals to maintain continuity across the BD lifecycle, enhancing our ability to win as opportunities pass from qualification into capture and then proposal.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
- 10+ years performing BD duties within the Federal market.
- A track record of Winning new work.
- Business and financial experience, with proven ability to manage scope and budget. Experience with government FFP, FFP LOE, CPF contracts.
- Demonstrated ability to establish excellent internal and external customer relationships.
- Expertise in the realm of business development and capture management process that entails the development of Management, Technical and past performance approaches, cost volume management, teaming, pricing strategies and competitive assessments.

Salary Disclosure
Posted Min Pay Rate
USD $137,631.74/Yr.
Posted Max Pay Rate
USD $229,386.24/Yr.
Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications.
The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance. This includes factors such as education, certifications, and extensive/unique experience beyond what is required.
