Ipsos U.S. Public Affairs is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual for the role of Director, Business Development Lead for the Ipsos KnowledgePanel and social science project sales. This role is pivotal in driving the growth of our scientifically robust research solutions. The Director will identify and develop new business accounts, write proposals, and provide pricing quotations, while maintaining a strong pipeline of new clients and projects through direct and indirect contact.
Ipsos KnowledgePanel is the premier probability-based survey panel in the U.S., utilized by clients such as Pew Research Center, ABC News, and the CDC. We use a random identification process to recruit participants, ensuring comprehensive and precise research findings for our clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain KnowledgePanel client relationships.
- Create and execute sales strategies to generate profitable revenue.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in academia, nonprofit, government, and industry sectors.
- Lead client consultations and discuss study details including methodology, timelines, and budgets.
- Write proposals and price quotes, create project budgets, and produce supporting materials.
- Coordinate with other Ipsos US Public Affairs teams to ensure client satisfaction.
- Expand business within current client accounts and pursue new prospects.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
- A minimum of 5 years of social science or market research experience.
- Proven ability in survey-based market research and selling full-service data collection projects.
- Strong door-opening and relationship-building skills.
- Experience writing proposals and making client presentations.
- Strong client network in social science research.
- Knowledge of social science, federally funded, industry association, or foundation research markets.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent deals and develop client relationships.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Excellent communication skills for interfacing with clients, team members, and internal staff.
- Sales acumen with a natural ability to serve clients.
- Team-oriented mindset with a dedication to project success.
- Ability to generate a minimum of 5 initial meetings per week with targeted leaders and researchers.

In accordance with NY/CO/CA/WA law, the estimated base salary range for this role is $105,000 to $120,000. Your final base salary will be determined based on several non-discriminatory factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
