We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned Director of Business Development to join our team in the Construction industry, specifically focusing on Hospitality Construction. This is a remote position that will play a critical role in driving the strategic growth of our company. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in identifying, cultivating, and securing new business opportunities in the hospitality construction sector. This role requires extensive experience in business development, strategic planning, and a deep understanding of the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy that aligns with the company's overall growth objectives in the hospitality construction sector.
2. Identify, evaluate, and pursue potential new business opportunities in the hospitality construction market to expand the company's client base and market share.
3. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the hospitality industry, including clients, partners, and industry professionals.
4. Collaborate with the internal teams to ensure the company's services meet the needs of the hospitality industry and align with the market trends.
5. Lead the negotiation and closing of new business deals, ensuring they meet the company's financial and strategic objectives.
6. Provide insightful market feedback and competitive intelligence to the company's leadership team to support strategic decision making.
7. Represent the company at industry events and conferences to promote the company's services and establish its presence in the hospitality construction market.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA will be considered an asset.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role in the construction industry, specifically focusing on hospitality construction.
3. Demonstrated success in identifying, cultivating, and securing new business opportunities in the hospitality construction market.
4. Strong understanding of the hospitality industry, including market trends, key players, and customer needs.
5. Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
6. Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
7. Proficiency in using CRM software and other business development tools.
8. Ability to work independently in a remote setting, while maintaining a high level of collaboration with the internal teams.
9. Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, partners, and attend industry events.
10. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a results-driven approach to business development.
