This role is centered around bringing new clients aboard for monoclonal antibody and cellular therapeutic manufacturing. Clinical dose and commercial dose!
While this is a director position in title, this is an individual contributor role that reports to the VP of Business Development. Some accounts will be handed over to manage but the bulk of this role is bringing in new clients.
The role of Director of Business Development involves:
Creating and executing strategies to drive revenue growth through various commercial activities.
Researching and pinpointing new business opportunities while fostering and managing robust partnerships.
Overseeing and leading the development of an efficient lead management process within the designated sales area.
Generating business analyses to assess the value of the sales pipeline and evaluate the effects of shifts in customer and competitive landscapes.
The ideal candidate should possess:
A Bachelor’s or higher degree (BS, MS) in Biology, or a related field within the scientific/technical domain.
Demonstrated expertise in client-facing commercial roles, sales, project/product/program management, or business development, preferably within a biologics CDMO.
A readiness to delve into operational challenges to inform strategic decision-making, maintaining functional integrity throughout the process.
