Job purpose
Develop and strengthen relationships with customers, vendors and suppliers. Coach sales team to grow relationships and increase sales. Develop and promote internal and external programs to increase revenue and position I. Halper Paper & Supplies as a leader in the industry.
Duties and responsibilities
• Identify areas for business development, improve upon current practices and develop initiatives to generate revenue
• Analyze sales and accounting data to project business growth; identify areas of vulnerability and advise on how to overcome
• Negotiate with vendors and suppliers on pricing
• Develop Supplier programs for rebates and incentives, positioning us an industry leader in this area
• Researching business opportunities and viable income streams
• Design and implement business development strategies
• Follow and adapt to changes in industry trends
• Learn our ideal customer profile and create program(s) to expand current customer base and increase account saturation.
• Coach Sales Team on managing and retaining relationships with existing customers, growing relationships with existing customers and increasing line items, increasing client base, on-boarding new accounts effectively, executing pipeline, meeting short and long-term goals for consistent sales growth.
• Easily learn and quickly embrace new concepts, processes, and products
• Reporting on successes and areas needing improvement
• Partner with office associates to maximize responses to client needs
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with all departments in the organization
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with employees at all levels of the organization
• Exhibit professional conduct and appearance
• Learn and apply I Halper business policies and practices
Sales – Business Development Executive 2
• Follows I Halper employee handbook policies and guidelines
• The position includes all other responsibilities that may be necessary to fulfill the duties associated with the position or as may be assigned.
• Potential for being physically on the road and in the field with salespeople and clients up to 5 days a week.
Required Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, NetSuite, CRM or other related systems

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position may occasionally require longer hours when workload or project deadlines require it.
Travel
Frequent local travel throughout the New York City metropolitan area and occasional long- distance travel is required for this role.
