About the role
The Head of Business Development and Strategic Alliances will be a critical leadership role, driving the identification, development, and commercialization of alliances with strategic partners. You will work hands-on in a dynamic startup environment, building partnerships that fuel growth and create long-term value. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in cybersecurity, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to execute in an early-stage environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Partnership Development:
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential strategic partners to drive business growth and competitive advantage.
- Lead the negotiation, structuring, and management of partnership agreements, ensuring mutual value.
Go-to-Market Execution:
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop joint go-to-market strategies with partners.
- Drive the integration and success of partnerships, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Commercialization & Revenue Generation:
- Own the full lifecycle of strategic alliances, from concept to commercialization.
- Drive revenue growth through collaborative initiatives with partners.
Market Analysis & Trend Identification:
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor strategies, and emerging opportunities in the cybersecurity industry.
- Provide insights to support business strategy and decision-making.
Leadership & Team Collaboration:
- Serve as a key leader in the business development function, influencing strategy.
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure alignment with overall company objectives.
Salary Range:
OTE: 140K-220K
Requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, strategic alliances, or a related field.
- Direct experience in the cybersecurity industry is required.
- Proven track record of success in an early-stage startup environment.
- Strong understanding of the cybersecurity landscape and related market dynamics.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Skills and Competencies:
- Exceptional ability to identify, evaluate, and cultivate high-value strategic partnerships.
- Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.
- Adept at creating and executing go-to-market strategies with cross-functional teams.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced startup.
- Technical background is a plus
Additional Requirements:
- Located in the USA, preferably on the East Coast.
- Comfortable working remotely and collaborating across distributed teams.
- Willingness to travel as needed for partner meetings and industry events.
