We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Director of Automation Engineering to lead our engineering team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of automation systems, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building PLCs from scratch, automation design, automation manufacturing, robotics, and experience with SCADA systems. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's growth and success.
Responsibilities:
As the Director of Automation Engineering, your responsibilities will include:
1. Leading the design, development, and implementation of automation systems, including PLCs, SCADA systems, and robotics.
2. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and develop automation solutions that meet these needs.
3. Overseeing the automation manufacturing process to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
4. Troubleshooting and resolving issues with automation systems, including programming and troubleshooting PLCs.
5. Keeping abreast of the latest developments in automation technology and incorporating these advancements into our systems.
6. Developing and implementing strategic plans to improve automation processes and systems.
7. Ensuring all automation projects are completed on time and within budget.
8. Providing technical guidance and support to the engineering team.
9. Ensuring compliance with all relevant industry regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Director of Automation Engineering position, candidates must have:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in automation engineering, including experience building PLCs from scratch.
2. Proven experience in automation design and automation manufacturing.
3. Extensive knowledge of robotics and experience with SCADA systems.
4. Experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs.
5. Strong understanding of OOP Design Principles.
6. Proficiency in SQL.
7. Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
10. A degree in Engineering or a related field.
