Job Description
Implementation Engineers is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Asset Performance Excellence to lead and manage transformative maintenance and reliability initiatives across multiple projects and teams. This role demands a strategic leader with a deep understanding of asset performance excellence, strong technical expertise in maintenance and reliability practices, and exceptional people management skills. The successful candidate will drive operational improvements, foster client relationships, and ensure delivery of sustainable, measurable results. This position involves extensive travel and collaboration with C-suite executives and cross-functional teams.
Duties & Responsibilities

Manage complex, multi-stream projects across multiple locations and industries, maintaining oversight of deliverables, budgets, and timelines.

Design actionable strategies and roadmaps clients can utilize to deliver business value.

Develop and execute site-specific, cost-reducing strategies aligned with client objectives.

Conduct criticality analyses, risk prioritization, and maintenance plans.

Support the PDP/Analysis and Project (IX) Execution teams in maintaining quality and adhering to standards.

Coach, mentor, and develop team members, ensuring project milestones and quality standards are consistently achieved.

Drive your team's adoption of continuous improvement practices by leveraging data analytics and advanced statistical techniques.

Design, document, and refine processes, policies, standards, and key performance indicators for Asset Performance Excellence (APE).

Serve as the primary interface for C-suite executives, aligning APE strategies with organizational goals.

Partner with Business Development teams to participate in sales calls, proposals, and pricing strategies.

Build strong, long-term client relationships by delivering exceptional results and securing future opportunities.

Develop intellectual capital, including case studies, presentations, and training materials.

Provide consultation on staffing decisions, workstream structure, deliverables framework, training programs, and resource performance feedback.
Required Skills and Experience
- 10+ years of leadership experience in Operational Maintenance & Reliability.

5+ years of consulting experience, including client-facing roles with C-level executives.

3 to 5 years of scheduling/planning experience using CMMS

Demonstrated experience in managing maintenance, operations, engineering principles, and activities as well as building and developing teams.

Strong program and project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex initiatives coupled with the leadership and interpersonal skills to be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Exceptional analytical and data interpretation skills, with advanced proficiency in CMMS/EAM/ERP systems.

Extensive knowledge of industrial systems and proven expertise in asset-intensive industries such as manufacturing. Mining a plus

Solid experience developing and implementing site-specific cost-reducing strategies that meet and/or exceed established savings targets

Advanced understanding of database structure with the ability to pull data, interpret, analyze, and present technical information using practical judgment. Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques, i.e. Weibull a plus.

Advanced understanding of reliability goals, growth and prediction

Excellent communication and presentation skills in a group setting as well as one on one

Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel pivot tables and charting
Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Reliability, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.

Relevant certifications such as CMRP, CRE etc.

Lean or Six Sigma certification a plus
Travel Requirements

Willingness to travel extensively to client locations nationwide (up to 75–100%).
