Compensation Range: $110-150k per year
Compensation will be dependent upon geographic region, education, and experience.

It is the purpose of the Director of Admissions to provide oversight and direction to Admissions Managers and Admissions Coordinators who facilitate providing access to care for behavioral healthcare services. It is the Admissions Director’s responsibility to ensure expedient, excellent customer service to prospective patients, families, and referral sources. In addition, the Director of Admissions is responsible for planning and maintaining work systems, procedures, and policies that enable and encourage the optimum performance of the Admissions Department. The Director of Admissions acts as quality control, ensuring customer satisfaction through training Coordinators properly and adhering to company policy.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide oversight and direction to Admissions staff in accordance with the departments’ and organizations’ policies and procedures
Ensures Admissions staff is trained with a solid understanding of behavioral healthcare disorders (substance use, mental health and/or eating disorders), insurance benefits and verifications, navigating financial conversations (patient share of cost and upfront collections), and is able to conduct preliminary clinical screenings and clearances
Analyzes data and maintains standardized reporting packages
Ensures staff meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) and adhere to individual performance expectations through monthly quality audits
Oversees bed board management, waitlists and runs flash meetings with facility operational staff
Forges strategic relationships with the facility operational teams (clinical, intake, care coordination, alumni and others), Discovery leadership team and Discovery business development team, as well as external key referent accounts
Oversees staffing grids and schedules
Coordinates with corporate support teams, including telephony support, equipment set up and troubleshooting, salesforce reporting, among others
Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members that allows for disagreement over ideas, conflict and expeditious conflict resolution, and the appreciation of diversity as well as cohesion

Maintain transparent communication. Appropriately communicate organization information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and appropriate email, IM, and regular interpersonal communication.
Reports to VP of Admissions
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and/or 3 – 4 years of experience in Behavior Healthcare field preferred
2 -4 years of experience in Admissions in a leadership/management position with a proven record of exceptional performance
Comprehensive knowledge of insurance contracts, benefits and authorization process
Comprehensive knowledge of Kipu
Comprehensive knowledge of Salesforce
