Director of Admissions

Located in Oakdale, NY 

**Salary: Up To $85K Annually (Depending on Experience)**

Responsibilities of the Director of Admissions:

• Screen potential residents based on medical needs, financial status, and facility capacity.

• Establish referral sources and to obtain required information and admit residents in an efficient manner, in accordance with established policies and procedures, and as directed by your supervisor.

• Stay updated on all federal and state regulations regarding admissions and resident care. 

• Track and analyze admissions data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

• Provide training and development opportunities for the admissions team on best practices and sales techniques.

• Ability to explain admission procedures, including necessary paperwork, insurance verification, and required documentation. 

• Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure appropriate care plans are developed for incoming residents. 

• Build relationships with area case managers, physicians, social workers, community organizations and hospitals to increase census and highlight the quality of care and services provided, including on-site short and long-term rehabilitation in our skilled nursing facility.

• Interview residents, guardians, sponsors, and obtaining the required admission information and signatures.

Qualifications of the Director of Admissions:

• Must have prior experience as an Admissions Director
• Must have long- term care experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Thorough understanding of CMS guidelines, DOH regulations, and insurance policies.
