Director of Admissions
Located in Oakdale, NY
**Salary: Up To $85K Annually (Depending on Experience)**
Responsibilities of the Director of Admissions:
- Screen potential residents based on medical needs, financial status, and facility capacity.
Establish referral sources and to obtain required information and admit residents in an efficient manner, in accordance with established policies and procedures, and as directed by your supervisor.
Stay updated on all federal and state regulations regarding admissions and resident care.
Track and analyze admissions data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Provide training and development opportunities for the admissions team on best practices and sales techniques.
Ability to explain admission procedures, including necessary paperwork, insurance verification, and required documentation.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure appropriate care plans are developed for incoming residents.
Build relationships with area case managers, physicians, social workers, community organizations and hospitals to increase census and highlight the quality of care and services provided, including on-site short and long-term rehabilitation in our skilled nursing facility.
Interview residents, guardians, sponsors, and obtaining the required admission information and signatures.
Qualifications of the Director of Admissions:
- Must have prior experience as an Admissions Director
- Must have long- term care experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Thorough understanding of CMS guidelines, DOH regulations, and insurance policies.
