The University of Wisconsin-Stout, Wisconsin's Polytechnic University, invites qualified candidates to apply for our Director of Admissions position. The Director of Admissions is an integral part of the Enrollment and Strategic Initiatives unit and is responsible for strategic direction in the areas of recruitment, matriculation, and enrollment management. The director develops and implements data informed enrollment strategies, in alignment with the Strategic Enrollment Management Plan, for undergraduate, graduate, transfer, international, and customized instruction students. As a facilitator, the Director is expected to work in coordination with other campus units in the development and implementation of the strategies to increase new student enrollment in each student segment.
The director has oversight of the day-to-day operations for the Admissions Office. This includes planning and directing staff implementation of the institution's admissions initiatives and programs, making admission selections, and overseeing the on-campus visit program. In addition, developing institutional admissions operating policies and procedures that align with regulations, institutional policies, and unit goals are a key function of this role. It is critical that the director design admissions initiatives, programs, processes, polices, procedures, and practices that are grounded in equity and creating an inclusive experience for prospective students, supporters, and individuals coming to UW-Stout from a diverse set of backgrounds and experiences.
This position reports directly to the Vice Chancellor for Enrollment and Strategic Initiatives. The Director of Admissions directly supervises an Associate Director, two Assistant Directors, Graduate Admissions Counselor, and Campus Visit & Office Coordinator.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum / Required
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of three years' experience in admissions (or related student affairs/services position) in post-secondary setting
- Experience developing, implementing and/or assessing effective strategies supporting recruitment and matriculation for multiple and diverse student populations
- Experience with strategic planning, data-informed determinations, and program evaluation
- Experience fostering strong partnerships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Highly Desired / Preferred
- Master's Degree in higher education or related field
- 3-5 years leadership experience
- Budget development and management experience
- Strong familiarity with student record systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, etc.)
- Experience using CRM (Customer Relations Management) software for prospective student management and communication (e.g., Salesforce, etc.)
- Ability to use technology effectively to advance processes, procedures, and efficiencies
- Demonstrated commitment to promote and integrate inclusive principles in the workplace
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide strategic guidance for the recruitment, admission, and matriculation of undergraduate, graduate, transfer, international, and customized instruction students
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Admissions team
- Provide supervision and budgetary oversight of department

DEPARTMENT INFORMATION
UW-Stout's Enrollment and Strategic Initiatives unit is responsible for all aspects of university enrollment management. The unit includes Admissions, Registration & Records, Financial Aid, Advisement, and Educational Pathways & Outreach, which includes Stout Online and Continuing Education & Conferences.
The Admissions Office is responsible for recruiting and admitting undergraduate, graduate and non-degree students. The Admissions Office hosts formal tours for prospective students and oversees processing of undergraduate applications and transfer credits. Prospective students can apply directly to UW-Stout through the Universities of Wisconsin website.

Minimum starting salary of $88,200, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
