Role: Director of Accounting
Salary: $150,000 - $175,000/annually + Bonus

Location: Syosset, New York - (Hybrid - 1-2 days a week onsite)

Job Responsibilities:

Financial Leadership:
- Oversee all aspects of the company’s financial operations, including accounting, tax, and financial reporting.
- Develop and implement sound financial strategies and policies to ensure the company’s financial health.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Manage the annual audit process and ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards (GAAP).
Team Management:
- Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing team of accounting professionals.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and coaching to team members.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Delegate tasks effectively and monitor performance.
Process Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement new technologies and tools to streamline operations.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
Risk Management:
- Identify and assess financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
licensure and certification requirements;
office location and other geographic considerations;
other business and organizational needs.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
