Director of Accounting - Non-profit - Now CFO

Position: Staff Accountant - Non-profit
Location: Round Rock, TX
Compensation: $75,000

Job Summary:

A faith-based organization in Round Rock, TX is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant level candidate who will take on the title of Director of Accounting. This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial health and integrity of the organization’s operations. The Director of Accounting will provide direct support to the Director of Nonprofit Compliance, oversee the AP Specialist and PT Admin, and manage various financial and HR responsibilities. This position requires a candidate with a servant’s heart, a strong Christian faith, and a commitment to the organization’s mission.

Responsibilities:

• Transitioning responsibilities from the current director, who leaves at the end of the month.

• Acting as the HR right hand to the Director of Nonprofit Compliance.

• Managing workers’ compensation and IRS forms.

• Handling HR administration tasks.

• Overseeing contributions and reconciliations.

• Performing AR duties and financial reporting.

• Managing payroll processes.

Must-Haves:

• Active Christian in good standing.

• Associate’s degree.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting

• A servant’s heart.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting.

Nice to Haves:

• Catholic faith.

• Experience with Paylocity.
