Director of Accounting - Irvine, CA (hybrid)

We're seeking an experienced professional to lead our client's accounting operations and oversee financial compliance. This key leadership role manages core accounting functions, including financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable, and supervising the team while ensuring accurate and timely deliverables.

Key Leadership Responsibilities:

• Direct all accounting operations including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, payroll processing, and cash control
• Establish robust internal controls and maintain system integrity across all financial processes
• Support executive leadership with strategic financial analysis and reporting
• Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals across multiple functions
• Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure corporate tax compliance
• Manage financial reporting cycle and external audit processes

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting plus 7+ years of experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with proven success managing and developing teams
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical mindset
• Advanced organizational and time management capabilities to effectively prioritize in a fast-paced setting
• Superior written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with diverse stakeholders
