Job Details
This is a critical role that is open as a result of succession planning and building out the foundation for the next 5+ years for the organization.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Own the month-end close process, quarterly reporting material for the Board of Directors, and liaison for interim and final audit fieldwork with external auditors.
- Lead and manage direct reports, providing guidance, supervision, professional development, and talent opportunities.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of financial records, reports, and transactions.
- Work closely with senior leadership to coordinate meaningful financial analysis and oversight to support strategic decision-making, including periodic report-outs to the Executive Team.
- Drive budgeting and forecasting activities in collaboration with team members embedded within the business.
- Oversee the credit and collections processes, develop policies for customer credit lines, manage overdue accounts, and collaborate with legal teams on collections matters.
- Analyze monthly DSO and other KPIs, playing a crucial role in process improvements across the company to enhance cash flow.
- Effectively communicate financial activity to business owners and facilitate necessary knowledge sharing across the organization through verbal and written means.
- Foster an environment of continuous improvement through process and system efficiencies.
- Drive process change by leveraging AI, technology applications and best practices to deliver increased productivity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA designation and experience in Public Accounting is highly preferred.
- 10+ years of accounting experience, including direct leadership of team
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations and the ability to interpret and apply them appropriately.
- Strong technology aptitude and experience
- ERP implementation experience
