Who we’re looking for:
Director of Accounting manages all activities in the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable function. Ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers and maintains accurate records and metrics. Manages monthly close and close process. Manage team of associates in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, management, or a related field
- 7-10 years of leading team's experience required
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license required
- Revenue recognition experience is required
- NetSuite Experience required
- Industry experience within health care, services or consumer products
- Hands-on skill in design and implementation of policies and procedures
- Track record of assessing and implementing change to current departmental practices and protocols
- Proficient in all Microsoft office, Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
- Excellent analytical skills along with the ability to create and present detailed reports
- Ability to accurately analyze processes and data
- Strong leadership qualities, supervisory experience required
- Team management and negotiation skills
- Problem-solving attitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to ethical behavior with a willingness to adhere to all company policies
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Hands-on proficiency in directing a corporate accounting function, including day-to-day general accounting, revenue recognition application, oversight of accounting operations (accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash management, and T&E), chart of accounts maintenance, general ledger, financial reporting and internal controls.
- Subject matter expert with the ability to independently research and formally articulate company positions with respect to U.S. GAAP, and guide the implementation of accounting standards relevant to our company, as necessary.
- Coordinate internal and external audit
- Ensure the ongoing development and sustainability of policies, procedures and internal controls over financial reporting and safeguarding of assets.
- Deploy highly effective accounting processes that enable optimal deployment of resources.
- Ad-hoc projects that provide critical decision making support to company executives.
- Weekly and monthly reporting to direct supervisor
- Set objectives for the accounting teams that align with the Corporate goals
- Overseeing routine department activities, such as disbursing checks, to ensure that they are completed accurately and on time
- Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial information to management and government agencies.
