Location: Bristol, Connecticut
Employment Type: Full-Time, 40-45 hours per week expected
Compensation: $110-128/year + performance-based bonuses
Schedule: On site, although employees can work outside of the office on a case by case basis

About the Role:
We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Director of Accounting to lead accounting operations. As the Director of Accounting, you will oversee financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls, while driving process improvements and contributing to the company’s long-term success. This is a highly visible role within the organization of 500+ employees.

Responsibilities:

• Direct and oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and tax compliance.
• Prepare and present accurate financial reports in compliance with GAAP.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with senior leadership.
• Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering professional growth and a collaborative culture.
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

• Serve as the primary liaison for audits, tax filings, and external financial reviews.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA strongly preferred).
• A minimum of 10 years experience in accounting roles
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial compliance standards.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
