The Director, Master Data Management and Governance is the leader of a regional, cross-functional team ensuring the integrity of GXO Americas & Asia Pacific master data and supporting processes. As the Director, Master Data Management and Governance you will be responsible for strategy, governance, stewardship, data quality, policy development, and effective application of data to drive consistency and efficiency both within our organization as well as with key business partners.

What you'll do on a typical day:
- Drive a strategic Master Data vision, strategy, operating model, governance, and roadmap across GXO AMAPAC aligning relevant functional areas including but not limited to Finance, HR, IT, Sales and Operations
- Work closely w/ business, Analytics & IT leads to deliver both strategic & tactical business processes supporting strong Data Management Solutions, enabling a less complex & trusted data environment which drives internal efficiencies and simplifies interactions with key partners, internal and external
- Drive harmonization of relevant Master Data processes across GXO AMAPAC to provide a common view of the business while also offering flexibility to meet local, regional, and functional needs
- Drive business process change (simplification) by influencing cross functional departments, driving accountability for data accuracy and to continuously improve data quality while expanding data governance across the enterprise. Prioritize and align master data initiatives including, managing a budget and ROI with the operating divisions and functional leaders' strategic initiatives
- Champion data accuracy culture adoption to the broader organization by ensuring that Master Data Management assets are understood, available and used
- Lead targeted communication, change management, and training associated with Master Data Management to ensure adoption
- Establish and communicate Master Data management best practices including people, processes, and technology
- Develop targeted metrics showing impacts of data activities, with executive dashboard to show key benefits and outcomes associated with data activities
- Continued focus on master data operational excellence, including advanced technologies, to optimize data value chain
At a minimum, you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise data management, leading Master Data Management (or similar work) that enabled a tangible business outcome, and managerial experience
- Mindset to drive innovation and change
- Strong domain expertise and practical experience working across multiple functions within an organization
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to leverage past experiences and in-depth understanding of marketplace best practices to improve the competitive position of the organization
- Influence across functions and businesses to negotiate and gain cooperation of initiatives
