This role focuses on crafting and maintaining efficient legal processes, managing the department's budget, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry best practices.
The position also involves vendor management, reporting, and technology oversight, as well as executive compensation.
This position will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, as well as a variety of finance and human resources personnel, to ensure exceptional administration, tracking and reporting of all aspects of legal operations and executive compensation.
In addition, this position will coordinate and oversee a variety of critical corporate governance matters including Board of Directors meetings, worldwide subsidiary management, and maintaining/updating a host of governance documents (bylaws, policies, planning calendars, etc.).
This position reports to the Company’s General Counsel.
The position will serve as a member of the company’s Legal Leadership Team.What You’ll Do:Develop, oversee, and handle the department’s global budget, including forecasting and spend analytics; serve as the finance department’s primary source of contactManage and oversee Insurance portfolioHandle Ethics Point hotline databaseAssist with leading the Company’s relationships with outside counsel, including billingDevelop processes for accurately and competently administering, tracking, and reporting all forms of equity compensation granted to Executive Officers and DirectorsSupports production of Board of Directors meeting materialsManage highly effective teamOversees the Company’s subsidiary management globallyMaintain and develop subject matter expertise in governance documents, policies, etc.What You’ll Need:Bachelor’s degree from a fully accredited four-year institution7+ years of proven Legal Operations experience in a corporate or equivalent environmentDemonstrated leadership, decision-making and relationship management skillsDemonstrated problem-solving and negotiation/influence skills with ability to achieve results in an ambiguous and changing environmentProficiency with developing solid action plans and follow throughEffective decision-making skills; can choose a course of action amongst options involving uncertainty or riskAbility to operate and stay calm in a highly dynamic, fast paced environmentAdaptable and demonstrates strong work ethic with the initiative to work independently High level of integrity supported by sound judgment Ability to work efficiently under pressure and effective time management skills with good attention to detail Where You’ll Work:This is a hybrid position requiring two days a week in the office in Downers Grove, IL.Pay and Benefits:The salary range for this position is $158,520 - $210,000.
The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
