About the Job
Our client, a leading pharma company, is seeking a Director IT Business Partner – Commercial, SFA and Market Access Technology to partner with Commercial business leaders to understand their business priorities and translate them into technology solutions.

Responsibilities:
Business Relationship Management:
• Collaborate with the business to enable and support strategic programs/projects.
• Manage business expectations and align to business requirements.
• Accountable for all aspects of IT planning & delivery.
• Provide continuous ng feedback to improve the IT operating model.
Business Process & Technology Strategist:
• Define technology strategy and roadmap for business areas to align with strategic business goals & objectives.
• Understand their ‘market’, the leading technology providers and how to apply the appropriate technology.
• Recognize technology opportunities to address process ‘pain points’, enable practices & technology enabled improvement opportunities.
• Build business case for IT initiatives.
• Create and own appropriate business-aligned implementation plans, roadmaps – timelines, ownership roles, milestones, etc.
• Understand and engage internal IT products/services to achieve business value.
• Know IT strategic platforms & drive business partners towards ‘standard’ platform solutions.
• Create SLAs within IT in support of the business (where appropriate).
• Provide business updates on new IT products/services.
Vendor Management:
• Lead vendor and partner evaluation, selection, and management for assigned areas, working with IT Vendor Management team for assigned services and projects.
Career Developer:
• Provide mentoring, coaching, and professional direction to both direct reports and others
Qualifications:
• 10+ yrs Life Sciences experience with 5+ years in supporting specific Commercial function area(s) in IT customer facing role.
• Has insight into leading technology trends and best practices that improve the processes and strategic decisioning...
• Knowledge of key processes and regulations governing the pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience working with globally distributed business and IT teams, especially in Japan, India and EU.
• Understands Organizational change management and has business-technology innovation & transformation experience.
• Up to 10 to 20% travel, based upon business needs
• Bachelor’s degree a must; preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant fields. Advanced degree in life sciences, business administration, or pharmaceuticals is solid plus.
