Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the VP Associate General Counsel – International and the VP, International Business Operations, (i) define and manage the strategy, processes and procedures related to ICI, ensuring alignment with SBACC’s overall strategy goals and international markets requirements and particularities; and (ii) execute the international strategy and business plan for ICI, which shall include, at a minimum, market analysis, internal and external data gather, competitive threats and expansion opportunities with the passive infrastructure business.
Manage the ICI project, working collaboratively with other departments including Operations, Legal Operations, Asset Optimization, Compliance, and Government & Regulatory Affairs to assess the potential impact of each ICI activity and to develop and execute strategic action plans to achieve the desired outcomes.
Coordinate the implementation of the defined strategies, while leading and overseeing a cross-functional team to execute the ICI strategy, liaising with the leaders and staff from other departments including Operations, Legal Operations, Asset Optimization, Compliance, and Government & Regulatory Affairs.
Utilize data gathering and analysis techniques to monitor and analyze macro and specific market trends, competitive landscape, industry dynamics to identify opportunities and risks, whilst implementing risk mitigation strategies.
Lead data gathering and data analysis efforts to identify and assess competitive threats and utilize insights to refine and adapt the international strategy for the ICI project.
Coordinate the preparation of site level analysis factoring in competitive, structural, financial, legal, community and other considerations.
Manage the day-to-day execution of international competitive intelligence activities, including coordinating workflows being performed by various internal and external resources and directly overseeing certain workflows, such as international tower defense related litigation.
Develop and distribute interdepartmental reporting and coordinate periodic reports to executive team.
Provide international competitive intelligence related research and information to the Operations, Business Development, M&A and Asset Optimization teams for purposes of evaluating business opportunities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Work with Talent Acquisition to recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ a talented and diverse group of high performing team members.
Provide oversight and direction to team members in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
Coach, mentor and develop team members, including overseeing new team member onboarding and providing career development planning and growth opportunities.
Empower team members to take ownership of their job and goals. Delegate responsibilities as needed and provide routine constructive feedback on performance.
Create a culture that is consistent with the organization's focus on team member engagement and that aligns with the organization's mission, vision and values.
Lead team members using a performance management and development focused approach to assist in goal setting, two-way feedback, and performance development planning.
Lead team members to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment.
Education & Experience Requirements:
BA degree in Business, Juris Doctorate, Engineering, or equivalent required. Advanced degree preferred.
10+ years' experience in Certified Competitive Intelligence training and practice preferred.
Proven track record in setting strategic and tactical direction to successfully lead competitive intelligence efforts.
Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Portuguese required.
Certified Competitive Intelligence optional - US or INTL equivalent accepted.
Domestic & International travel 25% of the time.
Valid Passport and ability to obtain appropriate visas and work permits.
