The Information Security Director role is a mid-level management role that is responsible for ensuring the security posture for the U.S. Federal segment and to support business growth and maintenance of effective and scalable technical cybersecurity environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage a strategic, comprehensive corporate and/or project/client information security monitoring and operation program to ensure the integrity, confidentiality and availability of information owned, controlled or processed by the organization.
- Responsible for the establishment, planning and administration of overall policies, goals and procedures.
- Analyze staffing needs for coverage and proactively make adjustments when necessary.
- Measure staff's performance through annual performance appraisals and provide training/development for continuous improvement.
- Provide/Demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and coaching abilities.
- Communicate with Information Technology professionals as well as senior management and auditors, assessors, and consultants.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Project Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight over the Federal Information System Security Officer (ISSO) staff.
- Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance is maintained for programs in Federal division (including Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST 800-53, 800-171, Cybersecurity Framework, CMMC, and FedRAMP).
- Advise on the establishment, planning and administration of policies, goals, and procedures.Manage a strategic, comprehensive project/client information security program to ensure the integrity, confidentiality and availability of information owned, controlled, or processed by Maximus.
- Collaborate with the Information Security team members on process improvements, secure design, and recertification of Maximus assets.
- Manage expectations with multiple stakeholders on projects and programs in conjunction with information security team.
- Knowledge of infrastructure, key processes, and technology-oriented risk issues, specifically around security and privacy.
- Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment with focus on timeliness, documentation, and communications with peers and business users alike.
- Communicate with Information Technology professionals as well as senior management and auditors, assessors, and consultants.
- Provide/Demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and coaching abilities.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, five (5) years of people management experience, ten (10) years of experience in the related field.
Project Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree related to Computer Science required, five (5) years of people management experience, ten (10) years of experience in federal Information Assurance (IA) and Security.
- Professional certification pertaining to information security and data privacy protection (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM), etc.) desirable.
- In-depth of relevant Federal cybersecurity regulations and guidance, including Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST 800-53, 800-171, Cybersecurity Framework), CMMC, and FedRAMP
- Proven leadership, able to influence without authority.
- Strong data analysis, both quantitative and qualitative
- Self-motivated individual, comfortable working without close supervision and with ability to work to deadlines.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills as well as project management
- Ability to develop partnership-oriented relationships with business executives and functional leaders.
- Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Results driven individual who can manage multiple complex assignments in a timely and professional manner, comfortable working without close supervision and with ability to meet specific and time-oriented deadlines.
- Must be able to travel domestically 10-15%, as needed.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
