Responsibilities / Tasks
Primary Responsibilities
- Sales Quality and Growth: Focus on both the quality and quantity of sales results, with a strong emphasis on maximizing profitable revenue growth across the Area.
- Business Development: Drive new business improvements and retention, fostering growth in the existing customer base.
- Sales Strategy Execution: Lead the Area sales strategy in alignment with Corporate Sales objectives, coordinating with Market Sales Managers, Operations, the Area Pricing team, and other relevant teams.
- Target Achievement: Meet or exceed targets related to sales, pricing, margins, and cost management as set by the Company and Area guidelines.
- Talent Development: Commit to developing and coaching talent, managing activities, and fostering continuous improvement within the team.
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through direct communication and proactive feedback solicitation.
- Team Leadership: Lead, train, monitor, and motivate the sales teams to achieve optimal performance.
- Data Analysis and Forecasting: Draw insights from sales and revenue reports and accurately forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue.
- Industry Awareness: Maintain a strong understanding of competition and market trends impacting the industry.
- Cross-District Collaboration: Collaborate with other Districts, Areas, and Corporate management to leverage the benefits of teamwork and shared resources.
- Talent Development: Engage in recruiting, hiring, training, and coaching to continuously develop a strong team.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Managerial Oversight: Directly supervise over 25 full-time employees, with indirect supervision of more than 50 full-time employees, including oversight of the Fresno location.
Your Profile / Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent years of experience
Key Accountabilities
Business Impact: Primarily focused on tactical execution of strategic initiatives to drive business success.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to achieve annual sales targets.
- Manage margin levels as established by management.
- Partner with dealer business services to address underperforming dealers and territories.
Innovation and Change: Suggest and implement minor improvements in processes or products.
- Review weekly sales reports and make adjustments as necessary.
- Work closely with Product Management to adapt products to better meet market demands.
Communication Partners
- Primarily engages with internal stakeholders, including:
- External sales teams
- Internal teams such as Product Management, Finance, and the broader management team
- Cross-functional groups like equipment sales teams
Decision-Making Powers
- Support for Decision-Making: Actively supports and executes decisions regarding margin expectations, sales goals, and yearly targets as defined by management.
