Salary: $130,000.00 USD Annually - $145,000.00 USD Annually
Description:
The Judge Group is seeking a Director, Human Resources for our client in their New Orleans LA area operations. The qualified individual will have 5+ years of Human Resources Management experience in one of the industries below.
COMPENSATION: $130k – 145kk plus bonus
PREFERREDINDUSTRIES: Waste Management, Renewable Energy, Environmental Services, Oil and Gas, Forestry, Quarrying, Metals and Minerals Processing, Industrial Construction
MUST HAVE: - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development (Masters preferred)
MUST HAVE: 5+ years of Human Resources supervisory experience
MUST HAVE: A well developed strategy for creating succession plans across the organization
MUST HAVE: A strong background in talent acquisition from hourly through executing level positions
MUST HAVE: The ability to travel 5 to 25% occasionally
LIKE TO BE: Bilingual (English and Spanish) – Like to have
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the executive team to create sustainable growth strategies
- Working directly with the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Human Resources one strategic initiatives
- Develop meaning and thorough strategic resource & capability plans
- Oversee talent acquisition for the division
- Act as executive leader coach
- Oversee staff operations, business planning, and budgets
- Oversee recruitment, compensation, benefits, training
- Oversee handling and documenting employee complaints, benefits, payroll, etc
- Advise managers on employee and labor policies (ADA and FMLA)
- Advise and support on disciplinary matters and the terminations
- Analysis of employee data
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development (Masters preferred)
- Active affiliation with Human Resources credentialling organizations (SHRM, etc)
- Multi-site management experience
- Experience in all areas listed above (Benefits and Compensation, FMLA, Succession Planning, etc)
- HRIS experience (Ceridian or Dayforce preferred but not required)
