Job Summary
Provides leadership and direction for all human resources matters across the designated business unit. Facilitates the implementation of related company initiatives. Serves as a coach to Sector management and as a liaison between field human resources functions and Company Leadership.
Distinguishing Characteristics:
Primary job function is mobile management of operations and/or shared services planning and execution. Has limited profit & loss responsibility for direct expenses, all unbilled labor, and operations costs, and manages field supervisory staff. This job description applies only to salaried positions performing essential functions of the nature described, with the authority to make independent choices, free from immediate supervision, in significant matters that affect the business, or to carry out tasks that are directly and closely related to such work, no less than 50% of the time.

Core Duties Include:
- Implements human resources (HR) initiatives and best-demonstrated practices in conjunction with line management; collaborates with colleagues across the business unit and in HQ shared services to identify, develop and implement effective HR practices.
- Provides strategic HR insight into operational issues and goals.
- Assists the Sector Operational Leadership in developing the competencies of and improving the performance of employees within the Sector.
- Develops and implements recruitment plans to address short- and long-term staffing requirements for Security Officers, specialty positions and administrative staff; serves as selection team leader for management openings.
- Ensures that all company sites in the Sectors adhere to and comply with applicable company HR policies and EEO / Affirmative Action requirements; prepares position statements and manages onsite reviews; conducts site-specific HR audits.
- Provides interpretations of company policies and procedures for the Sector in relation to all HR disciplines; guides field offices in the administration of pay, incentive and benefit programs, and in handling performance management issues and other employee relations matters.
- Directs or provides initial investigation of and response to employment-related claims and charges; coordinates responses and actions with Employee Relations department.
- Provides direction to HR Managers, Generalists and other positions in the Sector regarding all HR matters; reviews, approves and processes HR action items for the Sector.
- Directs and conducts training programs on topics including management skills, sexual harassment, selection, motivation, office productivity, performance management, diversity, and company policies and procedures.
- May assist Sector management in labor relations matters, sales and marketing efforts, and financial review of labor, incentive and benefit costs, as assigned; may direct the Sector’s training and development activities.
- Performs tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for assignment.
