Director, Human Reproduction Laboratory (Embryology & Andrology) - CORPORATE

Directs, plans, organizes and evaluates the staff and operations for both the Andrology (fertility) and Embryology laboratories. Develops and implements all quality control, quality assurance and performance improvement efforts. Ensures laboratories are running in accordance with all government and regulatory agency requirements. Performs all clinical activities related to the Andrology and Embryology laboratories.

Responsibilities Include:
1. Selects, develops, manages and evaluates direct reports; and oversees the selection, development, management and evaluation of indirect reports.
2. Directs the purchasing, inventory and maintenance of all laboratory requirements and supplies.
3. Maintains all budgetary guidelines.
4. Directs all QC, QA and PI activities and reports.
• Directs all regularly scheduled laboratory monitors and QC initiatives and reports findings to appropriate personnel and regulatory authorities, as required.
5. Ensures laboratory compliance with all government and regulatory agency requirements.
• Services as liaison to all above agencies.
• Ensures maintenance of documentation as required.
• Directs all accreditation efforts.
• Writes, reviews and implements policy and procedure for the laboratories; ensure manuals are well organized and current.
6. Performs all clinical activities related to the Andrology and Embryology laboratories.
• Initiates and implements new laboratory procedures.
• Demonstrates ability and proficiency in the performance of all laboratory procedures.
• Performs investigative research; contributes to and initiates clinical and la-related research papers.
• Demonstrates ability to screen new I.V.F. patients.
7. Performs related duties as required.
Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Biological Sciences or closely related field, required.
• Minimum of seven (7) as an Embryologist with at least three (3) years in a supervisory capacity.
