We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Full-Stack to join our Loans Enablement Platform. This role is located in (4 days in office at) Houston, TX, or Pittsburg, PA.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional team, including product owner, business analysts, scrum masters, front-end and back-end developers
- Design, develop and implement microservices using Java Spring Boot, ensuring code is modular, testable and re-usable
- Design, develop and implement responsive and intuitive user interfaces using Angular and TypeScript/Java ensuring an exceptional user experience
- Ensure seamless integration and communication between front-end and back-end components
- Create RESTFul APIs (gRPC) to enable smooth communication between microservices and external systems
- Conduct regular code reviews, unit testing, CI and maintain high code quality and reliability
- Develop and present high-level design proposals, renderings, and presentations to clients and stakeholders.
- Provide strategic input & decisioning, manage & reduce blockers, & ensure continuous flow or work, helping pod owners refine & reprioritize pod backlogs.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, actively participating in team brainstorming sessions and sharing knowledge across pods.
- Support team members in navigating challenges, resolving conflicts, and ensuring alignment with the project’s overall vision.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and technical development.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Strong expertise in Core / Advanced Java and OOP
- Proficiency in front-end technologies: Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Experience in developing and deploying microservices architectures using Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Data or similar frameworks
- Knowledge of JIRA, Junit and Apache Kafka are preferred. Success standing up new teams, fostering growth and development, and team collaboration.
- Effective coach and mentor. Ability to influence, make hard decisions, and problem-solve.
- Passion for changing the status quo, driving out of the box thinking. Ability to adapt and lead through change.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering, information technology or related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
- 10+ years of working and delivering digital transformation initiatives in agile working environment
- Proven track record of delivering successful, adopted solutions
- Active learner who understands modern architecture patterns and is not afraid to dive into complex business processes
- Excellent communicator. Ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
