Job Description:The Director of Financial Planning and Budget will oversee the Operating, Capital Budget and 10-year Plan, Benchmarking, Financial Management reporting, and Strategic Investment Analysis. The Director of Financial Planning and Budget will serve as the lead in the following functional areas with oversight of: Financial Planning, Operating & Capital Budget, 10-Year Plan, Benchmarking, Financial Management and Reporting, and Financial and Strategic Investment.Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related area - RequiredExperience:At least seven years of experience in Financial Planning and Budgeting in the Healthcare field, preferably in a hospital setting - Required Three years of experience leading teams - RequiredRequired Skills: Understanding of finance in a complex medical center environment: financial statements, volume-based forecasting process, and hospital-faculty practice relationship. Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to create and maintain a goal-oriented climate of teamwork and collaboration across departments for effective problem solving, conflict resolution, support for organizational values, and consistent achievement of objectives. Thorough knowledge of healthcare decision support systems and best practices, as well as clinical finance and cost accounting principles. Excellent skills in developing strategic plans, evaluating and developing staff competencies, organizing operations, and fiscal management. Excellent critical-thinking and business process skills, with the ability to implement effective solutions. Advanced skills to educate management and tailor decision support objectives and goals to meet a broad variety of needs. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Excellent ability to motivate, influence, and persuade others, and cultivate a strong commitment to efficiency, functionality, and quality customer service. Knowledge of clinical, financial, and business information technology software, hardware, tools, techniques, and systems. Experience with hospital cost accounting concepts and systems, and familiarity/understanding of hospital and professional patient billing data including healthcare reimbursement concepts. Outstanding project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines simultaneously. Knowledge of and experience working with Epic, Workday, and additional associated accounting software. ? Work Shift:Exempt Salaried (United States of America)Pay Range:$186,841.00 - $280,261.00SalaryOffer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting.
