The Program Director is responsible for clinical, administrative and fiscal oversight of behavioral health crisis consultation services performed at designated hospitals. Develops, manages and supervises a team of clinicians and paraprofessionals. Ensures quality of care and hospital contract compliance across designated hospital region.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide clinical, administrative and fiscal oversight and quality of behavioral health crisis consultation services across designated hospital region.
2. In collaboration with Assistant Director prepare, organize, and facilitate daily huddle for designated hospitals served. Maintain daily tracking spreadsheet, communicate with team members and ensure action items identified are completed.
3. In collaboration with Assistant Director, develops, manages and supervises a team of clinicians and paraprofessionals.
4. In collaboration with the VP of Emergency Services, develops, implements, monitors and reviews operating budget. Ensures that internal reports are produced and reviewed in a timely fashion.
5. Responsible for managing and developing quality improvement plans for the BH crisis consultation quality indicators as defined by Hospital RFA and hospital contracts.
6. Ensure contract compliance with all requirements set forth by Hospital RFA including all mandatory reporting requirements. Serve as the primary point of accountability and is responsible for interface with hospital leadership.
7. Responsible for ensuring quality of crisis assessment, intervention and stabilization to individuals of all ages at designated hospitals.
8. Responsible for staff recruitment, orientation, training, monitoring productivity, and supervision.
9. Provide administrative and clinical supervision to key program-level supervisory staff.
10. In collaboration with the VP of Emergency Services, ensure adherence to all policies and procedures.
11. Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal, external providers, community stakeholders including local CBHC, MCI, and CCS vendor to each hospital served as well as other regulatory bodies.
12. Serve as a key liaison for the program and direct the resolution of inquiries, problems, complaints, or emergencies affecting availability or quality of services; respond to sensitive or complex inquiries, service complaints, or grievances filed.
13. Share division wide on-call duties as assigned.
14. Utilizes supervision effectively by sharing pertinent information with supervisor.
15. Facilitates and leads staff meetings to ensure effective communication within the program.
16. Manages all clinical and administrative staff. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the program. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
17. Responsible for managing the program budget on a daily basis. In addition, works within approved budget; develops and implements cost saving measures.
Qualifications:
+ Master’s degree in Human Services field licensed at independent level.
+ Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience (emergency service work preferred).
+ 4 years’ experience of management and supervisory experience.
