About the Job
Summary/Objective
As Director of Distribution, your primary purpose is to lead a team of distribution managers, supervisors and planners to ensure on time and efficient delivery of products. Your team will facilitate route deliveries in a safe and efficient manner, while maintaining customer satisfaction and retail quality.
The Director of Distribution works with the VP of Operations to develop and manage process improvements across the business. You will work with safety and fleet directors to ensure all DOT processes are followed.
Essential Functions
- Servicing:
- Coordinate and lead assigned employees toward proper execution of the delivery process.
- Supervise, train and assist employees in skills development.
- Manage fleet assets according to company guidelines.
- Work with Directors and GM’s to drive success
- Execute and drive accountability with all company, quality and safety policies.
- Distribution and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure proper execution of stock rotation and merchandising at retail.
- Enforce “Quality Assurance Policy” and other related company guidelines toward proper execution at retail.
- Use results for employee reinforcement or correction in order to achieve desired results.
- Manage Department goals and budgets (Payroll, DOS, DSD’s and BD&L)
- Related Duties:
- Present performance results in weekly leadership meetings.
- Conduct team meetings according to company guidelines.
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance, abiding by company policy.
- Drive your vehicle safely and with courtesy, obeying all laws, DOT requirements and company policies.
- Report vehicle damage and required maintenance to management.
- Keep vehicle neat and clean at all times.
- Maintain office and files according to management guidelines.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Obey company policies and company safety policies.
- Perform other related duties as instructed by management.

Work Environment
This position requires exposure to all seasonal weather conditions, traffic noise, automotive fumes and cramped quarters.
