Director, Delivery Lead - Quant Technology
The Purpose of This Role
Do you want to be part of a team developing the best-in-class Quant applications and technologies? As the Director, Delivery Lead, Quant Technology you will be a part of Quantitative Research and Investments Technology organization, and you will be the end-to-end gatekeeper of the strategic and day-to-day tactical tasks associated with delivering on strategic priorities across multiple product lines. You will partner with both technical and business leaders to provide metrics and reporting across multiple teams. You will ensure alignment on the “what” and “when” work is to be performed through ongoing planning and prioritization of the product backlog.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- 5+ years of proven experience as a scrum master or in program and project management and technology solution delivery
- Experience in Financial Services, Asset Management industry is desirable
- Experience coordinating multiple teams to deliver complex interconnected solutions/products
- Very good client communication skills
- Proven focus on execution and identify, communicate and remove impediments to progress
- Capable of influencing, and motivating colleagues without formal authority
- Intellectually curiosity and a desire of continuous learning, mentoring, and coaching
The Value You Deliver
- Managing complexity of integrated delivery of capabilities
- Establishing transparency, alignment and consistent communication across Product area leader, architects, teams and partners on the needs, dependencies and challenges while delivering to product priorities
- Driving planning events and other relevant forums/activities with team leads and architects across the product or other dependent squads/teams to align on key delivery items
- Defining, refining, and communicating the product roadmap to motivate and establish team and partner support and alignment
- Anticipating, discovering through ongoing interaction with, and prioritizing partner needs to serve as their voice and guide the execution of the team
- Defining, evaluating, and communicating results against acceptance criteria
- Inspecting and evaluating progress, and removing impediments
- Facilitate making informed trade-off decisions to strike the right balance between quality, cost, and timelines
- Influencing the product area vision and strategy working with the product area leader and help define product metrics
- Encouraging learning and drives innovation strategies for the product
The Team
Asset Management Technology (AMT) provides worldwide technology and support to all the Investment Management, Research, Trading, and Investment Operations functions. You will be part of Asset Management’s Quantitative Research & Investment Technology group that partners with the investment teams on various projects including portfolio construction, risk management, and alpha research. We build high quality, robust, and efficient high-responsive solutions that are used to enhance Fidelity’s efficiency and decision-making processes.
