Job Description
The Advanced Technology Group (ATG) at ServiceNow is a customer-focused innovation group building intelligent software and smart user experiences using existing and latest advanced technologies to enable end-to-end, industry-leading work experiences for customers. We are a group of researchers, applied scientists, engineers, and product managers with a dual mission. We build and evolve the AI platform, and partner with teams to build products and end-to-end AI-powered work experiences. In equal measure, we lay the foundations, research, experiment, and de-risk AI technologies that unlock new work experiences in the future.
You will play a major part in building next generation Large Language Models(LLMs) for Enterprise Language Generation that will power NOW platform with AI experiences in day to day work of our customers. We are just getting started with our early-adopter customers and we need your help in building and making available an amazing range of solutions to our 9k+ enterprise customers around the world.
Collaborate with Engineering and Product:
• Work with engineering and product on incorporating the AI technologies into the ServiceNow roadmap. You will be expected to innovate and find new and better ways to replace complex frameworks with powerful AI technologies that are scalable and require far less maintenance.
Build elegant architectures:
• We build elegant architectures that are easy to understand, maintain and enhance over a period.
Architect reusable components:
• We build frameworks for reusable components that can be leveraged across multiple teams. For example, you may build a framework for developing conversational assistants for the finance industry that can leverage data from all our customers with their permission.
Influence Leadership:
• Champion AI strategies, technological advancements, and industry trends to ServiceNows leaders shaping the direction of AI-driven initiatives. Influence peers and stakeholders in driving technical, product and business direction.
Perform competitive analysis:
• We conduct a thorough competitive analysis of various AI products and technologies.
Thought Leadership:
• Share your expertise and insights at prestigious AI and technology conferences, elevating ServiceNows brand and positioning us as a trailblazer in the AI industry. You will publish blogs, papers and patents.
Qualifications
• Master’s Degree, PhD preferred with 12+ years of engineering or AI/ML experience and 6+ years of AI/ML experience.
• 3+ years of management experience, proficiency in providing feedback to work group strategies, policies, and plans
• ServiceNow is a rocket ship, and you need to have the passion, drive and work ethic to create business impact with mentoring, not supervision.
• Proven track record of leading and contributing to innovative AI research and development projects, culminating in bringing at least multiple innovative AI products to market, demonstrating your ability to translate research into real-world applications.
• Demonstrated ability to drive creativity and innovation in AI projects.
• Deep knowledge and hands-on experience in LLMs, deep learning, NLP, NLU, BERT, GPT, NLP, and related AI technologies.
• First principles thinking, for example you should be able to write a neural network with backpropagation in Python, Java or C++ without using existing libraries.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
For positions in the Bay Area, we offer a base pay of $233,500 - $408,500, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs (subject to eligibility requirements). Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located, and is subject to change based on work location.
