We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Director, Communications & Public Affairs to join our growing team in the building materials industry. This is an onsite position and a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional to shape and drive our brand strategy, manage our public affairs, and lead our communications efforts. The successful candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and industrial sectors, with a proven track record in developing and implementing effective communication strategies, managing media relations, and handling crisis communication.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive communications and public affairs strategy that aligns with our company's business goals and objectives.
2. Oversee all internal and external communications, ensuring our message is consistent and engaging.
3. Manage relationships with media outlets, proactively seeking opportunities to enhance our company's reputation and brand.
4. Draft and distribute press releases, speeches, and other communication materials.
5. Lead crisis communication efforts, providing timely and accurate information to the media and the public.
6. Monitor industry trends and public opinion to identify opportunities and challenges, and adjust our communications strategy accordingly.
7. Collaborate with our marketing team to develop and implement effective campaigns that promote our brand and services.
8. Manage issues resolution, working closely with various stakeholders to address any concerns or complaints.
9. Provide strategic advice to our leadership team on all communication and public affairs matters.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
2. 6 -10 years of experience in public affairs and public relations, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sectors.
3. Proven experience in managing media relations and drafting press releases.
4. Strong understanding of the construction industry and its trends.
5. Excellent crisis management skills, with the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
6. Extensive experience in developing and implementing brand strategies.
7. Proven track record in managing successful communication campaigns.
8. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence various stakeholders.
9. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
10. Ability to think strategically and creatively, with strong problem-solving skills.
11. Experience in issues resolution and crisis management.
12. Must have at least 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
