Responsibilities:

Network Strategy and Leadership:
- Develop and communicate a strategic vision for the company's network infrastructure, aligning network initiatives with business goals and objectives.
- Provide leadership and direction to the network engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

Network Architecture and Design:
- Lead the design and architecture of complex network solutions, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks, to meet business requirements and support organizational growth.
- Define standards, best practices, and architectural principles for network design, configuration, and operations.

Network Implementation and Optimization:
- Oversee the implementation and deployment of network solutions, ensuring adherence to design specifications, industry standards, and security policies.
- Optimize network performance, reliability, and scalability through proactive monitoring, analysis, and tuning.

Network Security and Compliance:
- Develop and enforce network security policies, procedures, and controls to protect against security threats, vulnerabilities, and cyber attacks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to network security and data privacy.

Vendor Management and Partnerships:
- Manage relationships with network equipment vendors and service providers, evaluating products and services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Establish strategic partnerships with technology vendors and industry organizations to stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends.

Budgeting and Resource Management:
- Develop and manage the network engineering budget, allocating resources effectively to support network initiatives and projects.
- Forecast future network infrastructure needs and investment requirements to support organizational growth and strategic objectives.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
- Collaborate with senior leadership, department heads, and key stakeholders to understand business requirements and priorities, and to ensure alignment of network initiatives with organizational goals.
- Communicate network strategy, plans, and progress to executive leadership, board of directors, and other stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications such as Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or equivalent are preferred.

Experience: 12+ years of progressive experience in network engineering roles, with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing large-scale enterprise network infrastructures.

Technical Skills:
- Expert-level knowledge of networking concepts and technologies, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, and wireless networking.
- Extensive experience with network hardware and software, including Cisco routers and switches, Palo Alto firewalls, and Aruba wireless controllers.
- Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, and Cisco Prime.

- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Ability to inspire and motivate team members, foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, and drive continuous improvement.
