The Director of Channel Strategy position is an exciting opportunity for a high-energy individual interested in driving Channel Strategies that ensure optimal patient access and growth of Must-Win in-line and launch products.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Director of Channel Strategy, are to:
- Channel Strategy Development: Responsible for the development of channel strategies that ensure patient access and drive growth for the entire Radiology portfolio, with a focus on must-win products and new product launches. Driving account development, integrating deeply with GPOs, IDNs, OEMs, Govt., Distributors/Wholesalers to gather customer insights as well as support execution of strategies with National Account Executives. Establish and measure KPI in alignment with brand strategies and financial goals. Act as a key source for insights and expertise to Product Teams for all channel trends and work collaboratively with MACS Pricing and Contracting;
- Contract Support: Support NAEs in contract negotiations with Strategy development and refinement to meet customer and Bayer business needs. Develop business performance review materials/templates with input from Product Leads and NAEs to help NAEs conduct effective QBRs. Refine contract terms and conditions to help maximize access and drive growth of our product portfolio;
- Strategy and Scenario Analytical/Financial Support Coordinate the development of financial models that utilize data and market assumptions to create pre-deal scenarios that can inform pricing and deal/no-deal decisions. Develop account controls and contracting guardrails based on external and internal data analyses, and in collaboration with MACS pricing and contracting determine appropriate rebate and pricing tiers, recommended contract, and discount structures;
- External Insight Generation and Internal Coordination Provide subject matter expertise to internal stakeholders regarding evolving Channel trends, competitive channel insights;
- Strategic Partnership: Assess and support evaluation of new strategic partnerships across all channels with the Strategic Partnership Squad to maximize access to our product portfolio.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of a BA/BS Degree with extensive Pharmaceutical/Medical Device Marketing/Channel Management/Market Access/Brand Management experience required;
- Passionate and self-motivated individual who thrives in a high-intensity, fast-paced environment;
- Flexibility and willingness to act as a change agent with demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire colleagues;
- Extensive knowledge of all principal areas of Strategy development, consulting required, including developing channel strategy, scenario planning and financial analyses, deal and no-deal assessment, QBR;
- Proven ability to synthesize complex information, market data, and financials to develop business cases and formulate action plans required;
- Expertise and proven ability to influence without authority and drive highly matrixed teams to deliver on strategic priorities required;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required;
- Passionate and self-motivated individual who thrives in a high-intensity, fast-paced environment;
- Flexibility and willingness to act as a change agent with demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire colleagues;
- Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS with 10 years of Pharmaceutical/Medical Device Marketing/Channel Management/Market Access/Brand Management, OR MBA with 7 years of Pharmaceutical/Medical Device Marketing/Channel Management/Market Access/Brand Management, preferred;
- Experience in Radiology/Diagnostic Imaging/Medical Device market preferred;
- Fast decision making and working with cross functional experience preferred.
