Director Category Management - Chemical/gases experience - Prosum

This is an individual contributor role reporting directly to the VP of Global Supply Chain

• Category responsibility will include wet chemicals, bulk and cylinder gases, and photomasks globally
• Responsible for the 7-step strategic sourcing process of the assigned category of materials, parts or services as follows:

1. Identify sourcing needs:

1. Supply market analysis:

1. Develop sourcing strategy and evaluate supplier suitability:

1. Supplier analysis:

1. Negotiate with suppliers:

1. Execute and integrate:

1. Benchmark and track results:
2. Initiate and cooperate on cost improvement projects, with the involvement of cross-functional teams, such as Engineering and R&D.
3. Update and maintain the Category Strategy over time, including market and supplier analysis in addition to business continuity plans.
4. Monitor and measure supplier performance and compliance with agreed terms of supply and quality requirements, through structured scorecards and supplier business reviews
5. Monitor and renew existing agreements per business need. Propose, initiate and finalize new agreements to improve operational efficiency, cost, aid business performance.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years seniority in current position
• A bachelor’s degree or higher is a required
• Significant supply chain and category management understanding and experience
• Technical background and familiarity with Semiconductor Fabrication – Advantage
• Experience with photomasks, chemicals, and/or bulk and cylinder gases – Advantage
• Good verbal and written communication skills (English)
• Solid understanding of corporate finance analysis
• Negotiation skills
• Strong Microsoft office skills (Excel, Word, Power Point)
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• This is an on-site position – must be able to work in person at our San Antonio, Texas Fab on a daily basis
