General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS), a premier provider to the US Department of Defense and allied nations, is seeking an Director, Business Development to join our Healdsburg or Folsom California team.
As a member of the location senior management team, the Director, Business Development position identifies, develops, and nurtures new business prospects and leads, builds strategic new business relationships, and pursues business opportunities with the aim of growing and expanding our business.

Major Position Responsibilities:- Conduct long range business planning, participate in location strategic and operational planning
- Generate new leads and opportunities to ensure growth in our market space
- Build solid, trusting, and measurable relationships with customers
- Participate in customer visits, regional and national trade shows, and conferences as required
- Manage both existing pipeline and new business opportunities
- Contribute to the development of proposals and presentations for new business development materials
- Adeptly present capabilities and value proposition to new clients
- Develop Business Development Department budget and manage per approved plan
- Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:- Bachelors degree in engineering field or equivalent
- Masters degree preferred
- DoD experience
- Requires 30% - 50% travel
- Fifteen years of experience in engineering or highly related field
- Five years of supervisory/technical management experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
