The Director of Accounting Responsibilities
- The Director of Accounting will be responsible for the accounting functions from the expense side.
- Responsible for the review of the team, including hands on responsibility for month end close including creating and entering journal entries, reconciliations, heavy inter-company, accruals and allocations.
- Pension footnotes, incentive accruals, financial reporting.
- Pension footnotes, other related parts of expense footnotes
- Supporting audit (internal/external)
- Budgeting & forecasting.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications of the Director of Accounting
- CPA is a plus and SEC experience is a plus.
- Experience working in insurance industry or public accounting experience (insurance clients) is highly preferred.
- GAAP Accounting, footnotes disclosure.
