Position Overview:

Royal Community Support is seeking a compassionate, self-motivated, and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist an individual in Pennington, New Jersey. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with community-based support, small outings, and activities that promote independence and integration within the community.

This is a part-time role offering Monday 1:00-4:00pm & Tuesday 9:00am-12:00pm (totaling 6 hours). If you are looking for a meaningful job where you can make a difference and advance in your career, this could be the opportunity you’ve been seeking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support to an individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with daily activities and personal goals, promoting independence and community engagement.
• Support participation in small outings and community-based activities.
• Create and maintain a positive, person-centered approach to care.
• Ensure safety and well-being of the individual at all times.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a good driving record.
• Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to work legally in the United States.
• Comfortable with community-based support and engaging in local outings.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Person-centered mindset with a positive attitude and open-mindedness.
• Passionate about working with individuals with disabilities and promoting independence.
