Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving their personal goals and living fulfilling lives. DSPs play a critical role in promoting independence, dignity, and community inclusion for those they serve.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals in their daily activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
• Assist individuals in achieving their personal goals and participating in community activities.
• Promote independence by teaching life skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and social interaction.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment by following care plans, safety protocols, and behavior management strategies.
• Advocate for the rights, needs, and preferences of individuals.
• Accurately document daily activities, progress, and any incidents in compliance with agency and regulatory standards.
• Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and team members to coordinate care and support.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Previous experience in caregiving or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.
• Certification: CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (if transportation support is required).
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
