Direct Support Professional - DSP (Day Program) at Blick Clinic

The Blick Center has two openings in their Adult Day Services Program for full time Direct Support Professionals (DSP). In this position you will be helping support individuals with disabilities in developing skills and increasing independence as they engage in meaningful group activities and community integration outings.

Full-time Hours: 

1. Monday thru Friday 7:15am to 3:15pm; no weekend hours!
2. Monday thru Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm; no weekend hours!

Salary: $17.00/hour starting pay.

Duties include:
Working in collaboration with therapists and other team members to prepare and implement daily group activities for clients based on the core group activities calendar.  We strive to actively engage individuals in activities that support personal preferences and abilities, offer vocational support, and volunteer opportunities, and promote community inclusion, involvement, independence, and well-being.  Staff also provide crisis intervention if required and assist clients with personal care as needed.  Also required to drive either morning or afternoon route to pick up or take home clients.

Candidate Qualifications:
    Must have high school diploma or G.E.D.
    Two years’ experience preferred but not required
    Valid driver’s license with less than 6 points
    Able to be physically active and lift, push or pull up to 50lbs.
