Responsibilities

- Providing support and guidance in developing social skills and positive behaviors

- Assisting individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and personal care tasks in a classroom based setting

- Implementing behavior management techniques to support individuals in a classroom environment

- Engaging individuals in meaningful activities to enhance their daily living skills

- Collaborating with other instructors to execute individualized care plans

- Offering direct support in areas such as community based activities

Qualifications

- Ability to drive and transport individuals as needed for community based interactions is an absolute requirement for this role

- Experience in direct support, caregiving, social work or any past experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities is highly preferred

- Proficiency in direct support techniques and working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Certification or training in medication administration is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Starting Pay: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 38 per week

Multiple Schedules Available:

• Day Shift is Monday to Friday (no weekends)
• Afternoon, evening and weekend shifts also available

Experience:

• Direct Care/Caregiving: 1 year (Required)
• Previous experience with developmental and intellectual disabilities (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

• Fallbrook, CA 92028 (Required)

Work Location: In person
