Direct support professionals help the individuals we serve live inclusive and independent lives in their homes and community.
Our Burlington Home is looking for Direct Support Professionals to join its team!
About Burlington House: Come support an amazing group of individuals in their own home. Working in Burlington is the perfect balance of providing in-home nursing supports while also enabling residents to go out and enjoy their community. While many of the individuals are non-verbal, each has their own unique and fun way of expressing themselves, some using assistive technology. The residents love hosting movie nights with their big projector screen, and in the summer, they enjoy completing outdoor yard projects. Direct Support Professionals in this home will need to provide hands-on personal care.
Major Responsibilities:
- Provide Direct Care and support the clinical and social needs of the individuals receiving services.
- Document accurately and thoroughly including in Inter-Team Communication Logs, Health Records, Daily Data Books and Fire Drill Logs as outlined in Northeast Arc Policy and Procedures
- Provide hands-on support at home, including individualized support in transferring, bathing and grooming, and following specific dining protocols and treatments.
- Administer medications according to Northeast Arc Policies and Procedures and MAPs Regulations. Support Drs appointments, ER and hospital visits and contact on-call nursing appropriately.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following Universal Precautions, ensuring that emergency exits are clear and accessible at all times and maintaining staffing ratios as outlined in contracts with funding agencies and House Safety Plans.
Qualifications:
- A valid driver's license is required
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, stand for periods of time, bend, push wheelchairs, and provide physical intervention as necessary.
- High School Diploma is required.
- Current CPR/FA & MAP certification (Preferred) but not required.
Pay Rate: Estimated $22.00 -$23.00/hr. depend on experience and certification (FA/CPR and MAP)
Wednesday 3-11pm, Friday 3-11pm, Saturday 3pm-11pm -Sunday 9am-11pm - 38 Hours Total
