Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate Agile Practices: Guide teams in Scrum practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Support Agile Teams: Act as a servant leader, empowering the team to self-organize and achieve sprint goals.
- Remove Impediments: Identify and resolve roadblocks to enable the team to deliver value effectively.
- Collaboration: Foster strong collaboration and communication across teams, stakeholders, and Product Owners.
- Coach and Mentor: Provide coaching to team members and stakeholders on Agile principles and practices to improve team effectiveness.
- Track and Report Progress: Use Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Azure DevOps) to track team progress, velocity, and deliverables, providing visibility to stakeholders.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying areas for process enhancement and implementing necessary changes.
- Stakeholder Management: Partner with Product Owners to refine and prioritize the product backlog to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Ensure Agile Maturity: Assess team maturity levels and help teams evolve in their Agile journey.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile leadership role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certification: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent certification required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Agile tools like Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Problem-Solving: Proven ability to identify and address team challenges effectively.
- Preferred: Experience with scaling frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS) and a technical background in software development or IT.
