This is a direct hire position with a leading adhesive manufacturer in Blue Ash, OH, specializing in water-based and polymer-based adhesives. This is an opportunity to join a close-knit team at a smaller facility. Your expertise will help ensure that all systems function optimally, directly influencing production uptime, equipment reliability, and safety standards. By maintaining high-quality standards, you will enhance customer satisfaction and contribute to the overall success of the facility.
Primary Responsibilities
Maintenance: Perform comprehensive maintenance on plant electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and other systems with limited supervision. This includes:
- Troubleshooting and repairing equipment failures to minimize downtime.
- Rebuilding pumps and running piping installations to ensure operational efficiency.
- Assisting in facility maintenance tasks to maintain a safe and functional work environment.
- Utilizing PLC systems for troubleshooting and repairs, ensuring all automated processes run smoothly.
- Conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all equipment.
- Forklift Operation: Exhibit excellent forklift and highboy skills. Must be trained on all lifts used in the plant.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all work instructions and safety rules without exception, including the use of all PPE and safety gear.
- Safety Practices: Practice safety in all actions, including startup/shutdown and lockout/tagout procedures for all responsibilities.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in industrial mechanics (pumps, mixers, machinery repair), electrical systems, and basic PLC troubleshooting or equivalent technical training.
- Pump and Piping Experience: Proven experience with pump rebuilds and piping installations.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work safely at elevations up to 50 ft. above grade.
