About the Dining Room Manager Position:
The Dining Room Manager is crucial in ensuring that dining services are delivered efficiently and professionally. Working closely with the Director and Assistant Director of Dining Services, the Dining Room Manager oversees the service staff to guarantee residents enjoy a timely and exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the dining service team to ensure residents are served professionally and on time, including hiring, training, and counseling staff.
- Coordinate meal services for special events, catered functions, and parties, communicating directly with the culinary staff to meet event needs.
- Oversee, facilitate, and track resident dining reservations for the Chesapeake, Lounge, and Governour's Inne. This includes handling phone calls, emails, and phone messages and confirming reservations with residents.
- Collaborate with the hostess to manage and update reservations made at the hostess podium.
Qualifications:
- A friendly, sociable personality with a passion for working with elderly residents.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong supervisory skills and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
- Previous dining room experience, ideally in a supervisory or managerial role.
