Citizens depend on the Archives to research genealogy, state and city history, property transfers, legislative intent, court records, and academic projects. Archives branches are on the Capital Campus in Olympia and college campuses around the state.
The Office of Secretary of State (OSOS) offers some of the most unique and diverse job opportunities in state government. This position reports to the Customer Service Manager and under general supervision, performs routine technical archival tasks in the area of document preservation and conversion. In addition, this position creates and enters metadata for individual records into an electronic content management system to ensure the security and availability of the images.
