Position Title: Digital Printer
Location: St. Charles, MO
Primary Responsibilities: The Digital Printer will operate, manage, and maintain digital printing equipment to fulfill customer orders. This role involves preparing files, adjusting settings, troubleshooting issues, and producing high-quality printed materials according to job specifications. The Digital Printer will collaborate closely with designers, clients, and production team members to ensure quality control and timely delivery of all print jobs.
- Operate digital printing machines (such as inkjet, laser, or large-format printers) to produce high-quality prints.
- Set up print jobs by loading paper and ink, adjusting settings, and aligning files to ensure precise output.
- Conduct test prints and adjust, as needed.
- Prepare and process digital files, ensuring they are compatible with the printer's software.
- Adjust images, colors, and layouts as necessary to meet print specifications and resolve any formatting issues.
- Collaborate with graphic designers and clients to verify accuracy before printing.
- Inspect printed materials for color accuracy, sharpness, and overall quality.
- Identify and correct issues related to color calibration, alignment, and print settings.
- Conduct routine quality checks and maintain documentation of completed jobs.
- Perform regular maintenance on digital printers, including cleaning, replacing consumables (like ink, toner, and paper), and troubleshooting minor technical issues.
- Report and coordinate technical support on major repairs or complex troubleshooting issues.

- Monitor inventory levels of paper, ink, and other supplies, ensuring adequate stock for upcoming print jobs.
- Place orders for necessary supplies and keep records of supply usage and expenses.
- Communicate effectively with production team members to streamline the printing process.
Required Skills:
- High School diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years' experience in graphics.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and perform maintenance on digital printing machines.
- Ability to read measuring devices.
- Proficiency with digital printing software and file formats (PDF, TIFF, JPEG).
- Ability to follow both written and oral instructions.
- Communicate well with others.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail providing accuracy and quality throughout job duties.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Must demonstrate a consistent and stable work history, along with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in graphics or related field.
- Familiar with color theory management, calibration, and layout.
- Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Experience with large-format printers or specialty substrates (vinyl, canvas, etc.).
Physical Requirements:
- Physically able to stand up to 8+ hours per day.
- Must have the ability to hear and respond to auditory signals, distinguish tones and pitches in equipment, and use hearing protection during specific tasks.
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to bend, grip and move fingers/hands.
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, stoop, squat, kneel, climb, balance, and reach overhead.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close and/or color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and ear protection.
