We represent digital-endemic content creators across key verticals including gaming, lifestyle, beauty, and fashion, and support traditional talent clients across all areas of their social and direct-to-consumer businesses. CAA Digital Media advises corporate brands, media companies, and tech startups in navigating the Creator Economy and digital ecosystem. As emerging technology, including AR, VR, and AI, impacts storytelling, our team canvases the media landscape to provide opportunities across the agency underpinned by social communities.
We work closely with Talent, Brands, and Social-Led Platforms to monetize and capitalize on cultural moments, bring passion projects to life, and diversify revenue streams in collaboration with teams across the agency.
The RoleThe Creative Director will oversee social media design and creative for CAA’s clients and play a pivotal role in driving digital strategy that tells a story and resonates with their personal brand.
It’s a hands-on role, perfect for a hungry, confident, energetic and ambitious Creative Director with an entrepreneurial mindset.
We are looking for someone who is excited by the opportunity of building out this crucial client offering on a dynamic team within a fast-paced agency environment. The position will develop and lead the overall look, feel and personal branding for clients, crafting tailored social media content and work hand in hand with client and social media managers on execution.ResponsibilitiesOwn creative and visual execution of client social media and content across all major platforms.
(YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X)Audit client’s existing social media accounts, distil personal brand qualities and present proposed social look, feel and mood to client and team.
Audit the client's current social media accounts, distill personal brand qualities, and present proposed social media appearance, tone, and atmosphere to the client and team.Develop and articulate a compelling creative vision that reflects the client's preferences, personal brand, and business objectives. Coordinate content categories and formats to align with platform requirements while leveraging industry best practices. Conceptualize and oversee production and post-production of long and short-form videos, still images, graphics, copy, captions, memes and more focused on our engaging and delighting our client’s audience.Develop integrated marketing and sponsorship activation plans, working with client and social media team to support partnership initiatives.Grow CAA network and visibility in social media space by attending conferences and functions.Knowledgeable of emerging film, TV, sports, music and social media trends.Manage, train and lead day-to-day social creative team.When required, provide onsite client support for events, activations, shoots, and other to ensure social media coverage.Qualifications12+ years’ experience in agency, platform or brand in creative or social media department.7+ years’ experience working on social media at the Associate Creative Director or Creative Director level.An impressive portfolio of work that demonstrates your creativity and ability to work in the digital/social space.Mastery at presenting and selling ideas to both clients and teams leaving your audience captivated by your storytelling abilities.A strong work ethic and total owner mentality with experience overseeing the process from concept through to final delivery.Excellent knowledge of YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, and social media best practices.Experience with content creation tools like Premiere Pro, CapCut, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, InDesign and Canva.Established relationships in social media space.Best-in-class client servicing and relationship building.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Ability to “think on one’s feet” in a fast-paced, agency environment.Solution-oriented.Ability to travel and attend work outside normal business hours on an as needed basis.LocationThis role will be based out of the Los Angeles office.CompensationThe annual base salary for this position is in the range of $152,000 - $195,000.
This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus.
